AVAILABLE WORKS

TAKE ME TO CHURCH
820 X 1220 - oil
$15,500
Based on a song by Hosier, this work has been released for sale from the artist's private collection. A signature work.

WE'RE HUNGRY
960 x 420 - oil/mixed media,
$6,200
Crime is on the rise, shoplifting is rife and our country is economically and socially in a mess. Successive governments have promised much but proven worse than useless at solving our deep underlying issues. While producing this work, experiencing my own impoverished circumstances and breaking the law provided first hand experience in day to day life and hardship many go through. And the consequences of those bad choices we make.

APOCALYPSE
1220 x 870, oil
$16,500
The planet's burning, or drowning, or choking to death and Mother Nature's distraught ... 'but don't worry, 'bout a thing, cos every little thing's gunna be all right now'.. sings Marley. Perhaps that's because an AI army is preparing to eradicate mankind in order to save the planet? A signature work, and it's taken more than two years to complete!

CRAZY DIAMOND
1500 x 600, oil, graphite, ink
$10,200
Syd Barrett, legendary founding member of Pink Floyd, loved painting flowers, but eventually succumbed to his many demons.

CHANGING TIMES
1000 x800- oil/graphite/charcoal
$10,500
Dylan wrote "The Times They Are a Changing" in 1963 and it quickly became a protest movement anthem. With the coming of Artificial Intelligence and the warnings/concerns for the future of humanity, including unemployment on a massive scale (not to mention autonomous weaponry), it feels like chaotic change is imminent. Researching this topic was scary stuff - what will happen in our future?!

JET PLANES & POPCORN BOMBS
700 x 550
$6,000
Reality tv, or is it real?! Inspiration for this painting came from the early days of Russia's war on Ukraine, where many of us gravitated to our televisions for the latest update - some sitting down with snacks.

WE'RE TAKING BACK NZ
780 x 580, oil, mixed media
$5,500
"What do you think, we're taking back New Zealand!". That was the word on the street in Nelson 2021.

ONE LAW, ONE PEOPLE, ONE SONG
The song is Puha and Pakeha!
780 x 750 - oil & mixed media
$9,500
Waitangi Day 2024 - The political lead up was interesting with our new coalition government. I immersed myself in the drama, feeling the fear of Maori activism against Pakeha. This is my satirical representation.,

I EAT CANNIBALS
800 x 600, oil, acrylic, ink
$10,500

BEAUTY AND THE PRIEST
610 x 610 oil/ mixed media
$7,000

IMAGINE IF
1220 x705 - oil/mixed media
$12,500
Imagine China as a fun-loving and free society, New Zealand a totalitarian police state and David Bowie a Maori.... Well, Bowie was a bit of chameleon, but there’s little chance of China changing any time soon, and as for NZ .. well, it is true that in 2022 our police were given rights to make their own judgments about hate speech, putting freedom of expression on a dangerously slippery slope.

LADY LIBERTY
930x820 - oil
$11,000

FASHION CRIMINAL
1000 x 700
$10,000

LAY LADY LAY
1020 x 815 - oil
$13,500
Many of Dylan’s lyrics are deep and thoughtful, however, ’Lay lady lay, lay upon my big brass bed’ seems nothing more profound than a wonderful night of lust and love, perhaps.

WANNABE ME
1220 x 820 - oil, graphite
$14,000
This work explores the hope we're evolving to a point where people can be whoever they choose to be, without being targeted and attacked for their differences. We still have a long way to go.
